Grid watch merges cryptic & digital time reading.

Matt says: I wanted a watch that was using 3-4 blocks for the hour/month and color changing LED’s for when the blocks are used for the 2nd/3rd/etc series of numbers. For the minute, I wanted 2 big digits for the minute/day.

I wanted to use a 1 piece lens & add a grid over it. The best size is a challenge. This is why I did 3 pictures/2 3D models. Engraving the lens was another option.

MK-1 WEAPON watch displays alien countdown

Valentin says: I came up with this design when i was in a meeting and my friend asked me for the time, so i showed him the time with my my fingers using my left hand. I know its kinda corny the way i came up with this lol but i think it works. I called it MK-1 WEAPON. Being a alien weapon, i decided on one of the color schemes to represent master chief from halo.

ZION e-paper watch is a colourful take on the digital time.

Sam says: This is a parallel development of a more feasible version of the ITO idea next to the ITO•E. I called this version ZION.

ZION uses colored segmented e-paper to display sharp numbers, aligning them vertically. The number style is reflected in the watch geometry – some sharp angles here and there, some small decent details, and looking generally simple.

3Delix futuristic watch uses a helix to gauge time

Peter says: This is 3Delix an evolution of an older design called “Swirl”

Swirl worked by using spiral shaped hands connected to an analogue movement which converted radial movement to linia movement. Allowing the time to be display in a column like window. 3Delix takes this concept into the third dimension.
