A Customizable OLED Screen Watch Design

Design submitted by Andrew from the Netherlands.

Andrew says: Because I have always been fascinated with watches, I decided to try my hand at designing one myself. I really wanted to create something unique, that hasn’t already been done like a million times before. That’s when I came up with Eclipse.  You can watch a small motion graphic about it here: https://vimeo.com/70057038 Continue reading A Customizable OLED Screen Watch Design

Astrolabe watch helps navigate though the space–time continuum

Design submitted by Anders from Sweden.

Anders says: Scribbling away one day, I sketched a display with curving lines across it. It looked to me like some sort of scanner display as seen in countless SF films. A few more lines and I had a concept; Astrolabe. The always-on OLED display adds visual punch.

Hydraulics Inspired Watch Design

Design submitted by Anders from Sweden.

Anders says that hydraulics has always fascinated him and he wanted to translate it into a watch design. He had the idea of a glass torus with two pistons, one fixed and one moving, telling time by pumping oil from one side of the pistons to the other while simultaneously rotating the whole torus. Magnetic Steel Watch Design

Design submitted by Anders from Sweden.

This watch design tells the time like a standard analog watch, the difference is in how it does it.  Everyone’s done the school physics experiment where you pour iron fillings on a paper with a magnet underneath.  Anders says that that was the inspiration for this concept.  A blank face sprinkled with steel particles. Crystalline OLED Watch Design

Design submitted by Andreas from Germany.

Andreas says: “I wanted time to speak through the shape and surface, so I looked at a grown piece of crystal, the perfect symbol for time, and transformed it into a relief surface of my watch. The time is displayed by three circles of dots from inside to outside; Hours, Minutes, Seconds. Continue reading Crystalline OLED Watch Design
